In this seminar, master and phd students present their current work and research ideas in the field of machine learning.

usually on Wednesdays, 2:15 pm (s.t.) to 3:15, or as announced |

Goals of the seminar
- Learn more about recent proceedings in machine learning
- Train giving and preparing talks (tryouts of conference talks are welcome)
- Get feedback about own research
- Gain new Ideas for further projects
- Improve English skills
Details for participants
This weekly seminar can be seen as a conference session. A chairman leads through the seminar and the audience may change between the talks (20 minutes each). Each participant owns at least ones the position of a speaker or a chairman.
Speaker:
- emails title and abstract (2 sentences) to chairman
- prepares 10 minute talk in English
- introduces a recent research idea or some small part of his work
- alternatively a paper presentation is welcome too
after the talk there is room for discussion & feedback (about 10 minutes)
Chairman:
- collects titles and abstracts of each speaker
invites participants to the seminar via email (ida@ml.cs.tu-berlin.de)
- introduces speaker
- has an eye on the time (10 minutes talk / 10 minutes discussion / 10 minutes talk / ...)
