In contast to parametric tests, nonparametric tests do not assume a particular form of underlying probability distribution. Well-known tests are the Wilcoxon signed rank test, Whitney-Mann-Wilcoxon (WMW) test, Kruskal-Wallis (KW) test, and Friedman's test.
